I’m Michael Cary — a 25-year-old photographer and videographer based in Marshall County, Tennessee. I was raised in Southern California up until late 2020 where my family and I searched for new beginnings. Photography isn’t just what I do — it’s how I see the world.
I don’t believe in stiff poses or forced smiles. I believe in creating images that feel like you — honest, cinematic, and full of life.
-
Photography started for me when I was a kid, sneaking photos on my mom’s phone without realizing I was lighting a creative fire. My family supported it from day one, taking me on hikes, forest walks, and random adventures where I’d bring my camera along and just shoot whatever caught my eye.
What started as curiosity turned into obsession — and eventually, a career built on storytelling, not just taking pictures.
-
After graduating in 2019 from Capistrano Connections Academy, some time was spent at Riverside City College where I studied photography at a college level and learned both the technical and creative sides of the craft.
My background also includes real-world training that shaped how I work today:
Cadet with the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps
Honor Guard, Rifle Team Commander
Explorer Cadet with the California Highway Patrol
Emergency Response Member at Bridgestone’s La Vergne, TN Manufacturing Plant
All of this taught me how to stay calm under pressure, pay attention to details, and adapt fast — skills that matter a lot when moments can’t be recreated.
-
I work across a wide range of styles, including:
Portraits & Lifestyle
Motorcycle & Automotive Photography
Photojournalism & Documentary Work
Abandoned & Architectural Photography
Wildlife & Nature
Aerial Drone Photography
This range lets me walk into any situation confident, prepared, and ready to create something meaningful.
-
My work is cinematic, raw, and real. I focus on emotion, movement, and storytelling rather than overly posed or artificial shots. Whether it’s a quiet moment or pure chaos, I’m there to document it honestly.
I don’t rush sessions, and I don’t treat clients like numbers. I pay attention to the details, the light, the vibe, and the story you’re trying to tell.
-
When I’m not shooting, I’m usually on my motorcycle. Riding is therapy for me — it clears my head and influences my creative style more than most people realize. That freedom, motion, and calm all show up in my work.
I’m also a lifelong animal lover — German Shepherds, macaws, ducks, you name it — and I still carry that curiosity for the world that got me into photography in the first place.
-
I also own and operate “Kaotik Media”, an independent news outlet covering real-world events across the U.S. and U.K., including breaking incidents, wildfires, storms, raids, and community stories. That photojournalism background means I’m used to fast-moving, unpredictable situations — and I don’t freeze when things get intense.
-
You’re not just booking a photographer — you’re booking someone who actually cares. I’ll help you feel comfortable, even if you hate being in front of the camera. I take the time to understand your vision. I adapt to whatever situation we’re in. And I deliver images that don’t just look good — they mean something. I shoot with intention, professionalism, and respect for your story.
If you’ve got questions, want to book a shoot, or just want to talk ideas, reach out. I love collaborating with people who are passionate about what they’re creating.
Thanks for stopping by — I’m looking forward to working with you.
